Covington Catholic High School sets annual Drew Michels Autism Awareness baseball tournament

Covington Catholic High School announces that the 6th Annual Drew Michels Autism Awareness JV Baseball Tournament to benefit the Ken Anderson Alliance is to be held on Saturday, April 14.

Drew Michels, 11-year-old son of longtime CCH Coach John Michels, was diagnosed with autism at the age of 4.

The purpose of the tournament is to raise awareness of this fast growing epidemic which affects 1 in 68 children and 1 in 42 boys. By raising awareness, the hope is to make a difference for those with autism one “piece” at a time.

On April 14, in addition to a fun day of baseball, there will be plenty of food and drinks as well as raffle prizes. The raffle table will include items such as an IPad Air, Samsung Smart TV, Reds tickets, and much more.

All proceeds from the 2018 Autism Tournament will benefit the Ken Anderson Alliance (KAA) whose focus is to build living facilities for the underserved community of Greater Cincinnati adults living with autism and developmental disorders.
