Save the dates for Richie’s Alliance for Autism | Clubs / Non-Profits

April is National Autism Awareness Month, and Richie’s Alliance for Autism has announced three days of charity events, April 9 – 11.

The goals of Richie’s Alliance are to raise awareness of autism, promote understanding of ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and provide much-needed support to those affected in the community.

According to the Center for Disease Control, one in 58 children in North Carolina have been identified with ASD. It is more prevalent than childhood cancer, cystic fibrosis and multiple sclerosis — combined.

Richie’s Alliance believes, “We can all make a difference,” and is grateful for all in the community who sponsored and supported Richie’s Alliance the past two years. In 2017, Richie’s Alliance was able to donate more than $50,000 to The Olson Huff Center in Asheville (division of Mission Children’s Hospital) — the only children’s hospital in Western North Carolina — and the Haywood County School Foundation’s Exceptional Children’s Program.

The Richie’s Alliance for Autism 2018 events are:
