Community Gardens – July 20

Autism Edmonton members are invited to join the Community Gardens Program and harvest fresh fruits and vegetables at the Edmonton Organic Growers Guild. There will be space to learn, share knowledge, and have fun!
Each session includes 2.5 hours of gardening tasks including weeding, planting, watering, harvesting and other duties. Members will then have the chance to harvest fresh fruits and vegetables.
Events will be held bi-weekly on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. We’ll be having a potluck lunch together after every session – you are welcome to join! The program will be offered on the following dates:

- Aug 17, 2019
- August 31, 2019
- September 14, 2019
You are welcome to join us for as many sessions as you wish! Admission is free and all ages and abilities are welcome.
For the last three years, program sessions were held at the Lady Flower Gardens (22 km NE of Edmonton). This year, we are moving to a new location – Edmonton Organic Growers Guild – which is located on the University of Alberta Farm (6104-6424 118 St NW) within city limits and easily accessible by LRT (across the street from South Campus Ft Edmonton Station).
Parking is located at the Laird W. McElroy Metabolic Environmental Research Facility (across the street from the Organic Growers Guild sign (1st left past the Saville Community Sports Centre)
How to register?
Separate registration for every session is required. Registration opens 2 weeks in advance. Please RSVP on Eventbrite to secure your spot.
