13 Nov @ 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
A wide range of services are available for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder in North Carolina, but it is not always easy to find out how to access those services. In addition, not everyone with a diagnosis of ASD will be eligible for the same services, and figuring out how to pay for services can be confusing. Getting a broad picture of the services landscape for individuals with ASD in NC will help parents feel more confident in navigating the road ahead for their child.
- Review the variety of services that should be considered for someone with ASD over their lifetime, including school, speech, and respite services as well as residential supports, employment supports, and in-home services
- Provide information on funding sources – Medicaid, Social Security, and ABLE accounts – and which services each source will cover
- Discuss how to access services from a variety of agencies and providers
